Application notes: Dodge Ram and Durango applications with two-piece rear driveshafts commonly require this unit. The 2.250" mount height is the standard dimension for Dodge center hanger brackets -- verify against the removed unit before installation. One frequently overlooked check: inspect the rubber isolator on the removed bearing for asymmetric cracking. If the rubber has cracked only on one side, the bracket was mounted at an angle, indicating a bent crossmember or missing shim that must be corrected before installing the replacement.
