1310/1330 series center support bearing with 1.378″ bore and 2.250″ center-to-base height; rubber-isolated ball bearing for light-duty two-piece driveshaft applications.
Full Description
The 3180-90 covers 1310 and 1330 series applications with a 35 mm stub shaft journal at the standard 2.250" hanger height. This is one of the most common center support bearing dimensions in light-duty domestic truck service, and its prevalence means there are several genuine and off-brand substitutes in the aftermarket -- not all dimensionally correct.
- Bore ID: 1.378" (35 mm) -- confirm with a micrometer, not a caliper
- Center to base: 2.250" -- standard domestic light truck hanger height
- 1310/1330 series application: U-joint cap diameter 1.062"
- Bonded rubber isolator construction -- no loose isolator to misalign during press-fit
- Spicer 211175X and Neapco 2-3049 are established cross-references for this geometry
Tip: when installing, align the bracket mounting slots with the crossmember slots before tightening. The bracket should be able to shift slightly side-to-side after finger-tightening -- this float is intentional and allows the bearing to self-align with the driveshaft axis during the first drive cycle before the final torque is applied. Then retorque after the first 50 miles.
