Mercedes-Benz CLK propshafts use a sealed center bearing assembly where the rubber isolator is integral to the carrier bracket -- a design that differs from the bolt-and-bracket approach on domestic trucks. The 2880-33 replicates the OEM geometry for the 2007--2009 CLK, providing the correct 35 mm bore and isolator compliance.
One Mercedes-specific installation note: the CLK propshaft center bearing uses a snap ring or retaining clip to secure the inner race on the stub shaft. Verify this clip is correctly seated after pressing the new bearing into position; a partially seated clip allows the bearing to migrate axially under acceleration load, producing a clunk felt through the floor. OEM Mercedes-Benz part numbers in the A2114100722 series may apply -- confirm via VIN for exact model and transmission variant.
