End yoke failures are usually easy to diagnose: cracked ears, worn splines, or corrosion at the cap bores. Whatever the cause, the 2604-261 end yoke is the direct replacement for 7260 series applications. Spline count and shaft diameter both have to match — verify yours before ordering.
2604-261 End Yoke — Spline Specs & 7260 Series Fitment
The 7260 series covers GM light trucks and vans using the Dana 7260 cross pattern. The 2604-261 end yoke specs: 1.100" x 24/26 spline | 1.450" hub dia | 3.250"" CJ-to-end | 1.300" bore. FITS: MAZDA - MITSUBISHI - KIA. Inside snap ring retention — requires internal circlip pliers. Common on import and front axle applications. Hub diameter is the outer dimension that clears the axle housing or T-case bore. CJ-to-end determines how the u-joint positions relative to the flange or seal surface. Count the splines on your output shaft — don't go by the vehicle model alone. Axle swaps and rebuilds can change the spline count from the original.
