The 1404-261 end yoke connects the driveshaft end to the axle or transfer case output shaft via a splined bore. Spline count and diameter are the critical dimensions — a mismatch here means the yoke either won't engage the shaft or will engage loosely and spin out under load. The 1404-261 end yoke is machined to one specific spline specification for 1100 series applications.
