Category Information
PTO (Power Take-Off) end yokes connect the driveshaft to the power take-off shaft on tractors, implements, and industrial equipment. PTO shafts rotate at standardized speeds (540 RPM and 1000 RPM are the most common in agricultural applications), and the yoke must be matched to both the correct series U-joint and the correct bore or spline profile for the PTO shaft being used.
PTO Yoke Selection
Series — 1000 series (small agricultural equipment), 1310 series (medium-duty trucks and heavier implements). Series determines U-joint cap bore diameter and snap ring groove geometry.
Bore diameter and keyway — PTO shafts are typically either smooth bore (retained by a roll pin or key) or splined. Bore ID must match the PTO shaft OD exactly.
Snap ring style — ISR or OSR, matching the yoke bore machining on your implement or shaft end.
