Full Description
U-joints don't fail suddenly. They telegraph it for weeks: a clunk at low speed, vibration that shows up above 45, rust bleeding from the cap faces. The 5-1306X Universal Joint 7260 ISR 1-6300 Greaseable 1-6301 Detroit 5-789X ends that.
The 7260 series runs a 1.078" cap diameter across a 2.813" width — built for GM-specific light-duty use. It's the standard cross on GM light trucks, vans, Chevy/GMC applications using the 7260 Dana cross pattern.
Inside Snap Ring retention (ISR): Circlips seat inside the yoke bore. Common on import vehicles, front axle yokes, and some OEM assemblies. Requires internal snap ring pliers. Greasable with standard chassis grease — service every 30,000–50,000 miles for best longevity. Use a quality CV/chassis grease, not wheel bearing grease.
Dimensions: 1.078" cap, 2.125" width. Verify your yoke dimensions before ordering — a mis-matched cap diameter won't seat correctly and will fail early.
