2680-20 – Center Support Bearing – MAZDA – Bearing ID of 985

The 2680-20 is the center support bearing for the Mazda GLC (Great Little Car) from 1977 to 1980, a compact RWD platform that used a two-piece rear driveshaft. The bearing uses an offset bracket arrangement: one side mounts 2.125" below the bearing centerline while the opposite side mounts only 0.375" below center. This 1.750" differential is among the largest offset configurations in the center bearing line.

The large offset reflects the significant angle of the GLC's chassis crossmember relative to the driveshaft centerline at the bearing location. If installed reversed (wrong orientation), the bearing centerline moves by nearly 1.750", inducing a driveline angle that creates vibration at highway speed.
