The 2880-11 is a center support bearing housing for the Mercedes-Benz C220 and C230. Among the three Mercedes housing variants in this series, the 2880-11 has the widest mount hole spacing at 4.875" and a 0.625" center-to-base height. These dimensions are specific to the C-Class rear driveshaft mounting geometry.
Mercedes C-Class RWD models use a two-piece driveshaft on most drivetrain configurations. The center bearing on these vehicles tends to fail from rubber isolator deterioration before the bearing itself wears out, making the housing-only option particularly useful for refurbishment.
