Full Description
Like the 2880-90, the 2880-80 is a housing-and-rubber-only center bearing assembly for Mercedes-Benz driveshafts. The internal 6005LLU ball bearing (0.985" ID x 1.847" OD) must be ordered separately. The primary difference between this unit and the 2880-90 is the mount hole spacing: 4.300" here versus 4.625" on the 2880-90.
The center-to-base dimension of 0.750" places the bearing centerline relatively close to the mounting bracket base surface. This low profile suits Mercedes models where the driveshaft tunnel clearance is tight and the bearing must mount close to the chassis surface.
