2726-251 – Tri & Quad Prongs – Bolt Circle Dia 96MM – Butt Dia 2.375″ – Face To Weld 1.125

The 2726-251 is a BMW tri-prong yoke similar to the 2726-257 (96mm BC, 12mm holes, no pilot, 28mm bushing, 1.125" FTW) but with a different butt diameter and tube wall specification. The 2726-251 has a 2.375" butt for 0.065" wall tube, while the 2726-257 has a 2.344" butt for 0.083" wall tube. Both fit the same 2.500" OD tube but with different wall thicknesses.

The thinner 0.065" wall tube used with the 2726-251 yields a larger inner bore (2.370" ID vs approximately 2.334" ID for 0.083" wall), which is why the butt diameter is larger to maintain a proper fit. Using the wrong yoke for your tube wall thickness will result in a butt that is either loose in the tube or won't insert at all.

Measure your tube wall at the cut end with a micrometer before ordering. 0.065" is noticeably thinner than 0.083" and can be felt by hand. The nominal 2.500" OD is the same for both wall thicknesses; only the ID differs. This measurement determines which yoke to order.
