Here's what a shop tech would tell you: the first thing you check on a vibrating driveshaft is the yokes -- not the U-joint, not the balance, not the slip yoke. Worn yokes are behind more driveline complaints than anything else, and they're easy to overlook. The 4104-02 is a UDS 1410 Series end yoke with a 1.609" spline bore, designed for DANA 80. If your shaft is making noise and the U-joint passed your inspection, pull this part number up and check the fit.

What to Check Before You Pull the Yoke

Before ordering a replacement, verify three things on the output shaft:

1. Spline diameter: Measure the shaft OD at the splines. Should be 1.609" for this part.
2. Spline count: Count the splines. Should be 37.
3. Snap ring groove: Is it on the inside face (OSR style) or outside? This part uses BS style.

If all three match, you have your part. If not, you need a different SKU -- don't force a close-enough fit.

Install Notes

Clean shaft splines, fresh snap ring, assembly lube on the splines. Torque the retaining nut -- don't guess. The hub diameter on this yoke is 2.500"; it needs to run true with the seal bore or you'll have an oil leak within a few thousand miles. Through hole is 2.000", which clears standard internal shafts and cables in 1410 Series applications. Center-to-end is 4.312" -- if you're changing yoke models, re-check your driveshaft operating length before you button everything up.

Final step: take it for a drive above 55 mph and listen. If vibration returns, the driveshaft needs rebalancing with the new yoke installed.
