The 3R04-01 pinion yoke is designed for the GM 7.5″ differential, classified as light duty (LD). It features a spline count of 27 and a spline diameter of 1.188 inches, ensuring a reliable fit. The hub diameter is 1.692 inches, with a through hole measuring 1.475 inches, and the centerline to end distance is 3.575 inches. This yoke is compatible with the Dana strap kit 2-70-48X and includes a new pinion seal (part # 40006689), which is essential for applications before 2000. Starting in 2000, GM transitioned to a synthetic oil that requires a triple lip seal with a larger ground hub diameter. The seal has an outer diameter of 2.660 inches, suitable for all model years, but the 1.692-inch inner diameter is specifically designed to fit this yoke’s sleeve-style hub.
