DLW-6 is a round steel balance correction weight at 30.0 grams (1.05 oz) with a center hole, packaged 150 per box. Balance weights are attached to driveshaft tubes during dynamic balancing to correct residual imbalance after tube fabrication, weld distortion, and yoke installation. The center hole accommodates the weld bead or attachment pin used to affix the weight at the required angular position on the tube.

Imbalance in a driveshaft creates a centrifugal force that rotates at shaft speed and generates vibration in the vehicle. Heavier correction weights (30g) are used when the imbalance is larger -- the required correction mass depends on the magnitude of imbalance measured during spin balancing. Having multiple weight denominations (DLW-1 through DLW-6) allows the balancer to combine smaller and larger weights to reach the exact required correction mass.
