DLW-1 Steel Balance Weight -- 4.0g
DLW-1 is the lightest increment in the DLW steel balance weight series at 4.0 grams (0.14 oz), packaged 300 per box. The smallest weight denomination is used for the last step of fine-tuning -- when the balance reading is close but not within spec, adding a single 4g weight at the right angle can bring the shaft within tolerance without overshooting.

DLW-1 at 4g is a useful base unit: 4g + 4g = 8g (same as DLW-3); 4g + 8g = 12g; 4g + 10g = 14g. A well-stocked balance station carries all denominations from DLW-1 through DLW-6 plus the aluminum BW series for aluminum tube shafts where steel weight is not desired at the balance correction location.
