Subaru application center support bearing with 1.181″ bore and 0.250″ center-to-base height; minimal-drop rubber-isolated assembly for Subaru two-piece propshaft systems.
Full Description
At 0.250" center-to-base height, the 9980-56 is an extremely compact center support bearing assembly for Subaru AWD applications. This minimal-drop design is used where the propshaft centerline is nearly flush with the crossmember mounting face -- typical of Subaru's low-slung AWD platform architecture.
- Bore ID: 1.181" (30 mm) -- Subaru AWD stub shaft journal; verify OD with a micrometer
- Center to base: 0.250" -- one of the lowest-profile Subaru center bearing assemblies; do not substitute a taller unit
- The bracket mounting flange is almost flush with the bearing centerline -- torque fasteners carefully to avoid compressing the rubber isolator
- Subaru OEM cross-references in the 27471 series depending on model, year, and drivetrain
Warning: at this height, any debris packed into the crossmember bracket slot will prevent the assembly from seating correctly and will force the bearing above its designed axis. Clean the bracket slot thoroughly and verify the assembly seats flush on the mounting face before torquing the fasteners.
