The 9980-48 is a 0.750" compact bracket Subaru center bearing, one of several in the 9980 series sharing this height. Multiple SKUs with the same bore and height exist because Subaru used different bracket geometries across model variants, production years, and export markets. The bracket arm angle and mounting slot width determine which SKU fits which application.
One Subaru-specific installation note: all 9980-series center bearings use a factory-applied anti-seize compound on the inner race bore from the OEM supplier. When installing a replacement, do not apply additional grease or anti-seize to the stub shaft unless the new bearing clearly lacks this coating -- excess lubricant in the press-fit zone reduces interference and can allow the inner race to spin. Subaru OEM references in the 27471 and 27480 series; verify via VIN decoder or Subaru STIS parts catalog by model code.
