3080-30 Center Support Bearing -- Jaguar Application
Jaguar driveshaft vibration complaints are frequently caused by center support bearing failure rather than U-joint wear -- the rubber isolator deteriorates from heat cycling in the closed Jaguar transmission tunnel environment. The 3080-30 is the replacement center support bearing for Jaguar two-piece driveshaft applications, with a 2.559-inch bearing inner diameter and 0.375-inch center-to-base height.

The Jaguar midship shaft passes through the center bearing -- confirm the midship shaft diameter is within the bearing bore tolerance before installation. A shaft that has developed a wear groove at the bearing contact area will allow fretting corrosion on the new bearing and reduce service life. Replace a worn midship shaft rather than installing a new bearing on a damaged shaft journal.
