- 2.500" center-to-base -- Mercedes uses this height on model variants where the propshaft routes below a higher crossmember position
- 30 mm bore -- confirm the stub shaft OD is within Mercedes tolerance (typically H7/r6 interference) before installation
- Mercedes rubber isolator compounds are formulated to match specific propshaft resonance frequencies; off-brand isolators may not provide equivalent isolation
- Mercedes-Benz OEM references in the A 202 410 series; exact number depends on model and production year
Warning: Mercedes-Benz uses a specific snap ring at the inner race on many propshaft configurations. If the snap ring groove is worn or the snap ring was lost during removal, the replacement bearing will migrate axially. Inspect the stub shaft snap ring groove condition before pressing the new 2880-70, and use a new snap ring if the original is distorted or worn.
