Application notes: BMW uses multiple center support bearing heights depending on the model series and transmission variant. The 1.875" center-to-base dimension on the 2780-85 is shorter than the 2780-80 (1.625") and falls between several common BMW hanger bracket heights. Ordering by height without confirming the BMW part number from the removed unit is a frequent source of incorrect replacements. Measure the center-to-base height of the original bearing with a vernier caliper before ordering; BMW applications in particular demand dimensional accuracy because the propshaft tunnel geometry allows little adjustment margin.
