Full Description
The most often overlooked failure symptom for this center support bearing is a low-frequency resonance felt through the floorpan at 50-70 mph -- not always a harsh vibration, just a subtle buzz. By the time metallic noise appears, the inner race has been spinning on the stub shaft and the bearing is past its service life.
- Part: 2780-45
- Bore: 1.181" -- matches standard BMW 30mm stub shaft
- Center-to-base height: 1.750" -- sets propshaft angle at tunnel hanger
- Mount hole span (C-to-C): 6.300"
- BMW rear-wheel drive and xDrive application
Installation tip: Clean the tunnel crossmember mounting surface and torque the carrier bolts evenly. Uneven torque warps the rubber isolator and shortens bearing life by accelerating edge loading on the outer race.
