Full Description
The BMW 850 uses a multi-piece driveshaft with a rubber-bonded nose bushing supporting the center stub shaft. The 2719-696 is the replacement nose bushing for this application. BMW 850 driveshaft vibration at highway speed that only occurs at specific throttle positions is often caused by deteriorated nose bushing rubber -- the bushing stiffness changes with temperature and age, shifting the driveshaft natural frequency into the operating range.

BMW specifies assembly with a slight twist pre-load on the rubber element during installation -- the bushing is pressed in with the stub shaft positioned at a slight angle to pre-tension the rubber isolator. This reduces noise transmission at idle. Follow the BMW service procedure for the 850 to achieve the correct pre-load orientation.
