The 1.000" center-to-base height is found on import and European vehicle applications where tight underbody packaging minimizes the gap between the propshaft centerline and the tunnel crossmember. The rubber isolator on this center support bearing is necessarily compact; some import applications compensate by using a stiffer rubber compound to maintain isolation performance within the reduced isolator volume.
