Like the Porsche Panamera-specific 2580-68, the 2580-13 is a flush-mount unit where the bearing centerline sits at base-plate level. This design is found on VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) platforms where the carrier bracket is deeply recessed into the floor structure. The 7.375" mount span is specific to this crossmember geometry -- wider than the 6.000" and 6.920" units but narrower than 8.937" and 9.000" Audi units.
With a flush-mount profile, rubber isolator deformation from overtorquing is a more serious concern than on tall carriers -- there is less rubber between the outer race and the base plate to absorb overtorque stress.
