The 2280-10 is the center support bearing for the first-generation Honda CR-V AWD from 1997 to 2001. The first-gen CR-V introduced Honda's real-time 4WD system in this compact SUV segment, using a prop shaft from the front to rear axle with a center bearing mid-point support.
The 6.875" mount hole spacing of the 2280-10 is the widest in the CR-V center bearing series, matching neither the second-gen 6.375" (2280-20) nor the third-gen 6.625" (2280-30). Despite sharing the same 0.500" center-to-base height and 0.985" bearing ID as the second-gen 2280-20, the different bolt spacing prevents cross-application use.
