- 1.250" center-to-base is taller than 2180-30 (0.511") -- these are not interchangeable despite same platform name
- 8.750" mount spread is the widest in the Ford Edge/MKX family -- measure your crossmember
- Bore ID 1.181" must match stub shaft OD exactly; a loose fit allows fretting corrosion between race and shaft
The 2180-20 is a Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX center support bearing with a 1.250" center-to-base height. The taller bracket positions the shaft CL higher relative to the crossmember than the 2180-30 or 2180-25 variants -- this is a deliberate geometry difference, not a manufacturing variation.
