The 1480-80 supplies the rubber isolator and inner bearing for Merkur applications where the original metal bracket is structurally sound. Given the age of these vehicles (1985-1989), inspect the original bracket carefully for rust through at the mounting flanges before reusing it. A bracket with more than surface rust at the bolt holes should be replaced as a complete assembly (1480-90). The 1.181" bore is consistent between the 1480-80 and 1480-90 -- if the bracket is good, the 1480-80 provides the center support bearing replacement component at reduced cost.
