The 1000 series is the lightest U-joint series, used on light-duty passenger car, small SUV, and light truck applications. The 10-4-193 uses a round bore (1.250-inch diameter) with a 0.312-inch keyway, making it a keyed shaft application rather than a splined connection. Keyed end yokes are found on older vehicle designs and some specialty equipment where a straight shaft with keyway is used instead of a splined output.

This end yoke requires a matching key installed in the shaft keyway before the yoke is pressed on. Do not install without the key -- the shaft will spin in the bore under torque and damage both parts.
