TU17583 is 1.750" OD x 0.083" wall DOM steel tube, sold by the foot. At this small diameter, the difference between 0.083" and 0.095" wall represents a meaningful weight reduction per foot, which reduces rotating inertia in applications where shaft length contributes noticeably to drivetrain response.
With a nominal ID of approximately 1.584", this tube inside clearance is slightly more than TU17595. Components such as slip sleeves or stub shaft inserts that must pass inside the tube need to fit within this ID limit.
