This bolt pattern is used on larger Mercedes models (likely S-Class or G-Class variants) where the wider crossmember structure accommodates a larger mounting footprint.

Tip: on larger Mercedes models (S-Class, G-Class), the propshaft center bearing carries higher torque loads than on compact models. When inspecting a failed 2880-15, check for rotational witness marks on the stub shaft from inner race spin -- large Mercedes models with worn centers have been known to allow inner race rotation, which destroys the stub shaft journal and requires propshaft section replacement in addition to the center bearing.
