BMW application center support bearing with 1.378″ bore and 0.625″ center-to-base height; low-profile rubber-isolated assembly for BMW propshaft compact hanger brackets.

- 0.625" center-to-base height -- confirm the removed bearing dimension before ordering; this is not the same as the 0.500" 2780-61 or the 1.325" 2780-62
- The compact bracket height restricts isolator volume; BMW uses a firm rubber compound to compensate
- 35 mm bore: verify the stub shaft measures 34.986--35.000 mm for correct outer-race interference
- Press-fit installation only -- never use a hammer; use a bearing press with an inner-race drift tube
Tip: after removing the old center bearing, measure the shaft journal for a circumferential wear groove. BMW stub shafts are relatively hard but a failed bearing that ran for more than a few miles will cut a groove into the journal surface. A groove deeper than 0.010" requires shaft section replacement -- a new bearing on a grooved shaft will not retain the press fit and will fail within a short service interval.
