The 2580-20 is a mid-height Audi 2580 center support bearing at 2.875" center-to-base, paired with a 6.000" mount span. The 2.875" height is a non-round number -- it distinguishes this part precisely from the 2580-25 (2.750") and 2580-30 (2.750") that share the same bore. Even a 0.125" height difference shifts the propshaft angle enough to produce vibration at highway speeds.

Installation tip: Audi recommends coating the stub shaft with a light film of grease before installing the bearing inner race. A dry press-fit in cold weather can gall the shaft surface and prevent the bearing from seating fully, leaving 0.010-0.020" of axial gap that allows the shaft to walk inside the race under braking.
