2480-20 -- Lexus Driveshaft Center Support Bearing
The 2480-20 introduces a raised profile to the Lexus 2480 group: 1.875" center-to-base, compared to the flush-mount 2480-30 and 2480-40. Both the 2480-20 and 2480-30 share the 6.250" mount span, but the height difference (1.875" vs. 0") means they fit entirely different Lexus platforms -- the 2480-20 mounts to a crossmember that is 1.875" below the propshaft centerline, while the 2480-30 sits at shaft centerline height.
This is one of the most common ordering mistakes for Lexus CSBs: selecting by mount span alone when the center-to-base height is the critical differentiator. If the vehicle is a 2480-20 application and the 2480-30 is installed instead, the propshaft droops 1.875" at the center hanger point, creating a sharp reverse-angle kink at both the front and rear U-joints that generates severe vibration above 50 mph.
