Full Description
The SPL250 series is one of the largest-capacity U-joint series in common industrial use, comparable in torque rating to the Spicer SPL250 which is rated for applications in the 250,000+ lb-in torque class. This series appears on large off-highway equipment, heavy truck rear axle arrangements, and industrial power transmission.
The 250-2-15 uses an XS180 serrated pilot rather than a standard machined bore pilot. Serrated pilots use a knurled or splined interface that locks the yoke to the mating component without relying solely on bolt clamping force. The 180mm designation in XS180 refers to the pilot engagement diameter in metric.
