A sagging center support bearing changes every angle in a two-piece driveshaft. The 2780-54 center support bearing restores the correct geometry at the midshaft.
2780-54 Center Support Bearing -- BMW Series Dimensions
Specs on the 2780-54 center support bearing: 1.378" inner dia | 625" center-to-base | 6.250" mount hole spacing. BMW. Built for BMW series applications. The inner diameter must match your midshaft stub -- too loose and the bearing walks; too tight and it won't press on.
Mount hole center-to-center spacing is the most overlooked spec on CSBs. If the holes don't match your crossmember bracket, the bearing will be offset and the shaft will run off-center.
