Full Description
ATU4125 is 4.000" OD x 0.125" wall 6061-T6 aluminum driveshaft tube in a 72" stick. The 4.000" diameter provides a higher critical speed threshold compared to 3.000" or 3.500" steel alternatives, while aluminum construction reduces the tube weight per foot to approximately one-third that of equivalent-dimension steel.
This tube is a direct comparison candidate against TU495XU (4.000" x 0.095" DOM steel). The aluminum version is lighter despite the thicker 0.125" wall, but the steel version has higher torsional yield strength. Selection depends on whether rotating mass reduction or torque capacity is the binding constraint in your application.
