ATU483 -- 4.000" x 0.083" Aluminum 6061-T6 Tube
ATU483 is the thin-wall option in the 4.000" OD aluminum tube series, at 0.083" wall versus ATU4125 at 0.125". The thinner wall reduces per-foot weight further -- approximately 33% lighter than the 0.125" version -- which lowers rotational inertia for quicker drivetrain response in performance applications.
At 0.083" wall, this tube provides less torsional capacity and is more susceptible to damage from handling or impact during installation. It is a performance-oriented selection suited for controlled-use applications where torque loads are known and do not approach the tube limit.
