Construction Quality

The GAO-15 uses a multi-layer rubber construction with embedded fabric reinforcement where needed. Steel inserts are bonded under compression to resist the separating forces created during hard acceleration and engine braking. The bolt holes are reinforced with steel bushings to prevent elongation under the clamping loads applied by the driveshaft and transmission flange bolts.

Installation Overview

• Support the driveshaft weight before removing the flex disc bolts
• Note the direction of bolt orientation -- alternating transmission and driveshaft side
• Inspect transmission output flange for cracks or corrosion before refitting
• Install GAO-15; hand-tighten all bolts before applying final torque
• Torque to vehicle manufacturer specification
• Test drive and confirm no vibration or noise from driveshaft area
