Description
he 3455-27 is a spline sleeve from the 3451 series, constructed from steel. It features a spline count of 18 and a spline diameter of 1.50 inches. The sleeve has a tube diameter of 2.75 inches with a wall thickness of .083 inches. The butt diameter measures 2.594 inches, and the end-to-weld length is 5.50 inches. Designed for light-duty (LD) applications, this sleeve is produced by PTI.
This spline sleeve is specifically used to build new Sprinter shafts. In a two-piece shaft, it is welded into the number one shaft and accepts the yoke shaft from the second shaft. In a three-piece shaft, it is welded into the number two shaft and accepts the yoke shaft from the third shaft. Additionally, this sleeve accommodates the center support bearing but is not compatible with the OEM yoke shaft.
