You don't notice a u-joint when it's good. You absolutely notice it when it's not. The 1551-26 Universal Joint Greaseable Kia/Mazda Series 26.50x50.5 ISR, 1.043X1.988 | 5-3245-1X is what correct feels like again.
The Kia/Mazda series runs a varies cap diameter across a varies width — built for multi-application use. It's the standard cross on fits multiple series/platforms — verify dimensions. Inside Snap Ring retention (ISR): Circlips seat inside the yoke bore. Common on import vehicles, front axle yokes, and some OEM assemblies. Requires internal snap ring pliers.
Greasable with standard chassis grease — service every 30,000–50,000 miles for best longevity. Use a quality CV/chassis grease, not wheel bearing grease. Notes: Kia Sportage Front Shaft (2003-2006 models), Kia Sorento AWD Rear Shaft (2007-2010 models), and Mazda RX3 & Cosmo components are available.. Dimensions are 1.043" cap, 1.988" width — measure your existing joint or yoke bore before purchasing.
If the cap won't seat cleanly, the bore is wrong. Don't force it.
