Shimmy at 60, clunk at takeoff, or grease dust around the caps — any one of those means the u-joint is done. The SPL350X Universal Joint 2065 / 687.65 GWB Series 68765 65X172 UDS HEAVY DUTY is the correct replacement.
The 2065 series runs a varies cap diameter across a varies width — built for multi-application use. It's the standard cross on fits multiple series/platforms — verify dimensions.
Outside Snap Ring retention (OSR): Clips retain cap from outside the yoke bore. Most common retention method on domestic trucks. No special tools needed — standard snap ring pliers work. Greasable with standard chassis grease — service every 30,000–50,000 miles for best longevity. Use a quality CV/chassis grease, not wheel bearing grease.
Dimensions: 2.559" cap, 6.771" width. Note: 65X172. Verify your yoke dimensions before ordering — a mis-matched cap diameter won't seat correctly and will fail early.
