Not all u-joints are interchangeable. The SPL100-1X Universal Joint U-Joint - Outside Snap Rings SPICER SPL100 Series, Greasable Dimensionally same as SPI-SPL90X Replacement Bearing Seal Protector = SPI-232884-1 Spicer is spec'd exactly for this series and retention style — measure yours before assuming a universal fit.
The SPL100 series runs a varies cap diameter across a varies width — built for multi-application use. It's the standard cross on fits multiple series/platforms — verify dimensions.
Cap retention style is OSR (Outside Snap Ring). Clips retain cap from outside the yoke bore. Most common retention method on domestic trucks. No special tools needed — standard snap ring pliers work.
Greasable with standard chassis grease — service every 30,000–50,000 miles for best longevity. Use a quality CV/chassis grease, not wheel bearing grease.. Dimensions: 1.625" cap, 4.957" width. DIMENSIONALLY SAME AS SPL90X. Confirm fitment by measuring your existing joint — series designation alone isn't always enough on modified or swapped vehicles.
