Shimmy at 60, clunk at takeoff, or grease dust around the caps — any one of those means the u-joint is done. The 2851-28 Universal Joint 28x51.99 ISR 1.102X2.047 Mostly Used on Mercedes is the correct replacement.
The FOREIGN series runs a varies cap diameter across a varies width — built for import vehicle fitment use. It's the standard cross on foreign and import platforms including European and Asian vehicles.
Cap retention style is OSR (Outside Snap Ring). Clips retain cap from outside the yoke bore. Most common retention method on domestic trucks. No special tools needed — standard snap ring pliers work. Greasable with standard chassis grease — service every 30,000–50,000 miles for best longevity. Use a quality CV/chassis grease, not wheel bearing grease.
