The universal joint is the heart of every driveshaft assembly. It’s what allows the shaft to transmit torque across an angle, accommodating the geometric reality that the transmission output and the differential input are rarely in perfect linear alignment. A U-joint that’s undersized for the application, poorly lubricated, or manufactured with inconsistent trunnion geometry will wear rapidly, introduce NVH into the drivetrain, and eventually seize — often taking the surrounding components with it. We carry U-joints across all standard series — 1310, 1330, 1350, 1480, and more — in both greaseable and permanently lubricated configurations. Our joints are sourced from manufacturers who hold tight tolerances on bearing cup outside diameter, trunnion diameter, and snap ring groove dimensions, because those are the specs that determine whether a joint fits correctly and how long it actually lasts in service.
