The UDS SPL55X U-Joint, from the 1480 series, is a non-greasable universal joint engineered for high performance and reliability. It features an outside snap ring, a 1.375″ cap size, and a 4.188″ lock up. This u-joint is pre-lubricated for life and incorporates a synthetic thrust washer and multi-lip seal, which reduce friction, improve temperature resistance, and ensure long-lasting grease retention while keeping contaminants out. It is a direct replacement for the former Spicer part number 5-803X.

DriveShaft Length

Measurement (A) :
Measure from the transmission output flange face to the center of the carrier bearing bolt holes.

Measurement (B) :
Measure from the center of carrier bearing bolt holes to the flats (center of u-joint or flats) on the end yoke at the differential.
