The 2904-29 pinion yoke belongs to the 7290 series and is specifically designed to fit the Chrysler 9.25″ differential. This light-duty (LD) yoke features a spline count of 29 and a spline diameter of 1.263 inches. The hub diameter measures 1.875 inches, with a through hole of 1.500 inches and a centerline to end distance of 3.180 inches. It utilizes strap kit 2970-20.

Caution is advised with this yoke, as it is common for customers to confuse the Chrysler 9.25″ with the Dana 60 yoke, mistakenly believing it to be defective. Although the measurements may be similar, the splines are cut differently and are not interchangeable. The easiest way to identify the differential type is by counting the bolts on the rear differential cover: Dana differentials typically have 10-bolt covers, while the Chrysler 9.25″ has a 12-bolt cover shaped like a stop sign.
