Return Policies
Customer satisfaction is our main goal at universaldriveshafts.com. We will accept part returns for any reason that falls within our return policies.
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to order the correct parts. We provide as much information as possible to help you order the correct parts. For example, many items have pictures, measurements and notes to help you select the correct part. If you are not sure, call our Customer Service Department for help.
New Items (not installed)
We will replace or refund most new and remanufactured non-defective items within 30 days from your date of order.
Parts returned must not be used, installed, disassembled or damaged due to improper handling.
Parts returned must be in resalable condition, in the original packaging, complete with all parts, hardware and original documentation.
Warranty Items
Most of our parts / driveshafts carry a one year warranty unlimited miles this warranty covers any manufacturing defects or failure of components unless otherwise specified. Warranty items will only be replaced with the exact same products, unless they are no longer available. Defects must be confirmed by universaldriveshafts.com or the manufacturer of the part(s).
Wear and Tear Items which are purchased individually (such as Universal Joint, Flex disc, Center Support, CV Joints.) will not be warranted.
Driveshafts that are used for racing applications, modified vehicles, abused or neglected, such as lack of maintenance and lubrication when necessary, will not be warranted unless otherwise specified.
Items will not be refunded, only replaced.
Items will not be exchanged for other parts.
Free shipping will not be applied for warranty items or re-purchase after one year
The decision to refund or replace a part is made solely at the discretion of universaldriveshafts.com or the parts manufacturer and is final.
Restocking Fee
If you have made an error and requesting a correct replacement sent to you:
For Driveshafts: Restocking fee will be waived, you will only be charged our orginal cost of shipping the part to you.
All other items: you will be charged 20% restocking fee.
If you want to return an item for a refund:
For Driveshaft: 15% restock fee will be applied to cover our shipping expense, handaling, new box etc.
All other items: 20% restocking fee.
Shipping Refund
The cost of shipping will be refunded only in those instances where the return is a result of our error such as sending you the wrong part, and within 30 days of the original purchase date.
Orders shipped Overnight or Second Day: all shipping carriers reserve the right to extend delivery time by 24 hours to residential deliveries. Also the shipping company will not guaranty shipping due to act of God, disruptions in air or ground transportation networks, such as weather phenomena, and natural disasters. This is beyond our control and air-shipping charges will NOT be refunded for this reason
Parts Damaged In Shipment
if your product has been damaged in shipment, do NOT accept the package. Please notify the shipping company upon arrival, and contact us immediately within 24 hours. If the shipper has left a damaged package in your absence, immediately contact the shipper and have the package returned back to us. We will not responsible for stolen packages all claims for such must be worked out with the shipping company.
Cancellation
Orders are electronically processed and forwarded immediately to the warehouse for shipping therefore we cannot guaranty that we can stop it in time. If the shipment has been sent, you can return the part by following our return policies.
Shipments Refused
Orders that have left our warehouse can not be stopped since they are in the control of the shipping company. Any order refused upon delivery will be subject to a 20% restocking fees.
Driveshaft Core Return
Items such as drive shafts have a core return value. A core deposit shown on your quote will be added to the total order. This charge is fully refundable upon receipt of your old core, subject to the following requirements.
The core must be:
Complete and in rebuildable condition
In the original packaging
Received by universaldriveshafts.com within 35 days of receipt of the product.
Driveshaft Core Returns do not require return authorization. A PREPAID UPS / Fedex return label is attached to the side of the box or we will email you one.
Simply secure this label on top of the original shipping label.
Place the old driveshaft in the shipping box and close the box securely.
Give the box to any UPS / Fedex driver or any UPS / Fedex Store. (Return label does not provide UPS / Fedex pick up at your door.)
Refund Issuance
Refunds and credits will be issued within 15 business days of the returned part/core arrival, in the form of a credit to the credit card account used for the original purchase.
To Return an Item
Please contact us to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) at customerservice@universaldriveshafts.com
When your return arrives with appropriate documentation at universaldriveshafts.com, it will be inspected for compliance with our return requirements. If all requirements are met, a replacement will be shipped or a refund for the cost of part(s) or core(s) (plus any applicable sales tax) minus restocking fee will be issued within 15 business days of the returned part arrival, in the form of a credit to the credit card account used for the original purchase. Shipping Charges Are Not Refundable. CORES ARE NOT SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING FEE.

Items sent back without Return Merchandise Authorization, may not be credited if lost.
COD shipments will not be accepted.
