One Piece Driveshaft Measuring Guide

USE THIS GUIDE TO MEASURE DRIVESHAFT LENGTH FOR MOST: CARS, VANS, 2WD TRUCKS, AND SOME 4WD FRONT AND REAR SHAFTS.

Transmission output types : Spline  Seal  Rubber Boot Extension

Measure instruction: Please make sure to measure the driveshaft length when the vehicle is in the normal riding position.
If you’re using Jack/Lift the axle must be supported on safety stands – not hanging down.

TRANSMISSION OUTPUT TYPE - SEAL

TRANSMISSION OUTPUT TYPE -RUBBER BOOT EXTENSION

Measurement (A) – DRIVESHAFT LENGTH:
Measure from end of rubber seal on the transmission to the flat face of the end yoke or flange on the differential.

Measurement (B) – SPLINE EXTRUSION LENGTH:
Measure from end of rubber seal to end the of the transmission output. If spline is recessed in rubber seal, measurement can be noted as ø

Measurement (A) – DRIVESHAFT LENGTH:
Measure from end of rubber boot extension on the transmission to the flat face of the end yoke or flange on the differential.

Measurement (B) – SPLINE EXTRUSION LENGTH:
Measure from end of rubber boot extension on the end of transmission output. If spline is recessed in rubber boot extension, enter ø.

Measure instruction: Measure instruction: Please make sure to measure the driveshaft length when the vehicle is in the normal riding position

TRANSMISSION OUTPUT TYPE -RUBBER BOOT EXTENSION

Measurement (A) – DRIVESHAFT LENGTH:
Measure from center of u-joint/flats on the end yoke on the transmission output to the face of the end yoke or the face of the flange on the differential input end.

Measurement (A) – DRIVESHAFT LENGTH:
Measure from the flat of the flange on the transmission output to the center of the u-joint on the end yoke or the face of the flange on the differential input end.
